God's Greatness.

Deuteronomy: 8-6.

Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and
to fear Him.

Sharing of the word:

Although the people were unworthy, God reminded them to keep to the Ten Commandments. The Lord was saying
from today, if you are going to be my people, don't lie. Don't be a false witness against your brothers, don't steal
and don't be envious. Don't have idols in any form: American Idols, movie idol, or sports idols. Some idols are
our possessions. We don't allow others to touch our car or our guitar. Some of us are addicted to the TV.
So who is your God? Who is your idol? The things that you think about most during the day, that is your god.
So what are you thinking about most.
God is trying to create in you godlikeness and the Lord will touch you because of His goodness.
The Israelites did not deserve it but God still blessed them. They did not deserve to be
saved, yet He saved them. They did not deserve to be healed, yet He healed them.
They did not deserve divine protection yet He protected them. They did not deserve
those great clothes and shoes, yet He gave it to them.
Not because they were good , but because He was good. Likewise, God answers prayers not
because you deserve it, or do certain things right, or you made the right confession.
No, He does all these things for us because of His goodness and His love. So how long has
God been good to you? We take it for granted that it is His job to look after us.
